Coach Park Hang-seo continues to add forces to the Vietnamese team to prepare for the matches in October at the final World Cup 2022.
After Nguyen Cong Phuong, coach Park Hang-seo continued to summon the players on the U22 payroll to Vietnam. Specifically, 5 additional faces include Lieu Quang Vinh (Da Nang), Dang Van Toi, Le Xuan Tu (Hanoi), Nham Manh Dung (Viettel), Tran Van Dat (People’s Public Security). The addition of new names shows the careful calculation of Mr Park in the upcoming journey, especially the two matches against China and Oman in October.
- Strengthen the defence
After the last 2 matches at the final World Cup 2022, the defence of Vietnam is getting thinner. The injury cases of Bui Tien Dung, Nguyen Thanh Chung, Tran Dinh Trong or Doan Van Hau caused coach Park Hang-Seo to have a headache. Therefore, the addition of a new element in the defence of the Golden Star Warriors is essential.
With good speed and physique, Dang Van Toi will be a backup plan for the central defender position of Vietnam Tel. Meanwhile, Lieu Quang Vinh will compete for a position in the border corridor with Nguyen Trong Hoang, Vu Van Thanh or Nguyen Phong Hong Duy.
- Strengthening the offensive line
Before the top opponents in the continent, the attack plans of the Golden Star Warriors are still not really effective. Mr Park still hopes to find new people capable of causing mutations.
Nham Manh Dung can play well as a target striker. With a good ability to fight independently, Viettel’s players will be considered a backup factor for Nguyen Tien Linh. Le Xuan Tu is also a promising face on the front line with a height of 1m80. Besides, Tran Van Dat is expected to make a surprise when he is the only one competing in the First Division.
